Activist Boniface Mwangi has accused the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) of allegedly stealing his Ukweli Party's brand colours.

Initially called the Party of Development and Reforms, the outfit officially changed its name to UDA in December 2020.

The UDA party came into the Kenyan limelight in January 2021 and is linked to Deputy President William Ruto.
''Deputy President @williamsruto stole @UkweliParty’s colours for his party. He could have picked any other colours but decided to steal the Ukweli Party brand book,''said Mwangi.

Taking on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, August 4,Mwangi threatened to take legal action UDA.

TUKO.co.ke learnt that Garissa county woman representative Anab Gure organised the surprise gesture.
The female legislators arrived clad in yellow dresses and blacktops while their male counterparts wore yellow ties,black suits and white shirts.

The yellow colour represents the UDA party.
"Today our colour is yellow ,since its abig day for our party UDA as we are swearing in our first elect MP,so we are in solidarity with him," Gure stated.
Njuguna won the Kiambaa seat after beating Jubilee's Kariri Njama by garnering 21,773 votes against 21,263.
On Thursday, July 8, nominated senator Millicent Omanga dismissed reports that UDA was printing its merchandise in Dubai ahead of the 2022 General Election.
Omanga, a close ally of Ruto, linked to the new political outfit,accused the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party of claiming that the merchandise was being printed in the
Western Asian city.
The party will need to distribute thousands of its branded merchandise to its supporters in the run-up to the 2022 General Election.
Ruto, who is seeking to succeed his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta, is expected to run for the presidency on a UDA party ticket.
