The short answer is yes, vapes can have calories. But it depends on the ingredients that go into your e-juice and your mod.
Different E-Juices Have Different Calories
The first thing you should know is that e-juices come in all different flavors, so they're not all created equal. One of the most common ingredients in e-juices is propylene glycol (PG), which is used as a preservative and thickener in many food products. It's also found in fog machines and theatrical smoke machines.
Propylene glycol has a slightly sweet taste, so it can be used to flavor e-juices without adding any calories. It's also used as an antifreeze, so you'll often find it listed as an ingredient in other vapes like Juul pods or JUULpods.
But some e-juices contain more than just PG — they may also include vegetable glycerin (VG), which adds sweetness, but no calories; or polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG 400), which also adds sweetness, but no calories either.
On the other hand, some e-juices use flavors that do have calories such as chocolate or caramel,
What the heck is vaping?
Vaping is the act of inhaling and exhaling a vapor created by an electronic cigarette (e-cig) or other similar device.
Vaping uses e-liquids, often referred to as e-juice or juice, that may or may not contain nicotine. The devices come in all shapes and sizes, but they all operate in the same way: A battery powers a heating element that vaporizes the e-liquid when it's inhaled through a mouthpiece.
Many users argue that vaping is much safer than smoking cigarettes because there are no combustion products involved — unlike burning tobacco leaves. Vape pens are often marketed as healthier alternatives to cigarettes because they don't contain tar and most don't have any secondhand smoke either.
However, vaping is still a relatively new phenomenon, so we don't know for sure whether it's safe or not. And until we do, we recommend staying away from vaping if you're trying to quit smoking altogether.
What's the difference between vaping nicotine and cannabis?
Vaping is a more efficient way to consume cannabis than smoking. It's also safer for your lungs and has a lower risk of lung cancer.
"Vaping" is the act of inhaling vapor from a heated liquid. It's commonly used to describe vaping nicotine or cannabis, but it can also be used to describe tobacco use.
Vaping has been shown to be better at delivering cannabinoids than smoking marijuana, because it allows you to control how much you consume and allows you to titrate up or down as needed. This means that if someone starts out using too much THC, they can just take less next time and not get high as fast or at all.
There are two main types of vaping devices: e-cigarettes (for nicotine) and vaporizers (for cannabis). E-cigarettes heat up liquid nicotine until it turns into vapor, which users inhale through a mouthpiece. Vaporizers heat up dry herbs like marijuana or hashish until they turn into vapor which users then inhale through a mouthpiece.
