The problem with most of African presidents is that whenever their time to exit the office comes, they will always seek to change the constitution in the name of holding together the country in order to extend their terms or to continue hanging around the power after the expiry of their terms.
They have sought to remain in power by massaging, bending or outright breaking the laws meant to ensure democratic handover of power.
Paul Biya of Cameroon did it, same to Idris Deby of Chad, Azali Assoumani of Comoros, Denis Sassou Nguesso of Congo Republic, Ismail Omar of Djibouti, Alpha Conde of Guinea, Alassane Outtara of Ivory Coast, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and now Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya is also doing it.
BBI is not about uniting the country, its just a tool to amend the constitution to enable president Uhuru to remain in power beyond 2022 just like how his African counterparts does when their terms expires.
Am happy that majority of Kenyans have refused this conmanship and disrespect to the constitution. Only few confused fellows like Otoyo Abange and Wahome Thuku do believes that BBI will unite Kenya.

Different way of problem solving...
A retired man purchased a home near a high school.
He spent the first few weeks of his retirement in peace, then the new school year began.
One afternoon early into the first semester, three loud young boys came down his street, beating merrily on every bin they came across.
They then did so the following day and the day after that, until finally, the retiree decided it was time to take some action.
The next afternoon, he walked out to meet the boys as they banged their way down the street.
Stopping them, he said:
“You kids are a lot of fun. I used to do the same thing when I was your age. Will you do me a favour? I’ll give you each a dollar if you’ll promise to come around every day and do your thing”.
The boys were more than happy and continued to bang the bins.
After a few days, the old man greeted the kids again, but this time he had a sad smile on his face.
“This recession’s really putting a big dent in my income,” he told them.
“I’m going to have to cut it down to 50 cents a day to keep banging the bins.”
The kids were obviously unimpressed but they accepted the reduction in payment and continued their afternoon activities.
A few days later, the man approached them again.
“Look,” he said, “I haven’t received my payment yet, so I’m not going to be able to give you more than 25 cents. Will that be okay?”
“That’s it?” the ‘drum leader’ exclaimed.
“If you think we’re going to waste our time beating these around for 25 cents each a day, you’re nuts! No way, mister. We quit!”
And the man enjoyed peace and serenity for the rest of his days.

Dear Believer in Jesus Christ, God does not look at your status, background, country, culture et al to accept or embrace you. Nor does He look down upon the poor, the weak, or the sickly. Nor does He frown if you seem hidden somewhere in a church. In fact, you can not hide from God! Man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at your heart.
It does not matter where you sit. What matters is how your heart is. Irrespective of where you sit, may your heart truly seek Jesus Christ. May your heart be humble. The Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."
“These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at My word", declares the LORD. So do not be discouraged because of your status. Do not be discouraged if you do not get the best seats! With God, you are never lost in a crowd. Don't you think the Good Shepherd who goes seeking the lost sheep will not locate you wherever you may sit in a Church or in a meeting?
