Dear Managers & Bosses. Thread :
1. Threatening staff under you instills fear not respect.
2. Don't project your insecurities on your team, grow your skills & learn from them. Learning never ends.
3. Hire people smarter than you. It makes your work easier & your wins bigger.
4. Mentoring other people does not erode your value. It's a legacy built.
5. When you demand integrity and performance from your teams, be an example. They are watching.
6. Work environments should be fun and conducive, harrasing juniors / support staff makes it unbearable.
7. Be generous with praise and recognition of your team. It will bear results.
8. Sharing your past failures with your team does not make you a weak leader, it gives them confidence that they too can overcome their current challenges. Be vulnerable.
9. Employees are human beings, show them love, kindness, respect and concern.
10. Defend your team from external attacks, don't expose their weaknesses, don't betray their trust when & if they confide in you.
