Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kathie Fitzpatrick is a Baby Boomer child who grew up appreciating the region's natural beauty and color. From taking family vacations to the beaches in northern California to touring the region's now-famous attractions. From her mother Ruby taking her and her siblings to the historic "Playland at the Beach," where the famous 18-foot character "laughing Sal" greeted everyone who arrived with hot air, to her father Henry taking her to lunch at the renowned Cathay House in Chinatown when she was a little girl, to the San Francisco Zoo and Golden Gate Park, Kathie had wonderful childhood memories in the San Francisco area.
