A day before her expected date of joining the University of Nairobi, Caroline Wanjugu Mwangi had almost given up hope on her chance due to lack of fees.

An early morning visit to Senator Isaac Mwaura, however, breathed life back into the 17-year-old's dreams after the Albinism Society of Kenya paid her fees.

She was quickly prepared and enrolled into the Parklands Campus to study Law with her eyes set on becoming a judge who will be the voice of the marginalised in society, like herself.

Caroline scored an A- (Minus) in last year's Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education and was among the top students nationally.
