Love vs infatuation

How do you know it's love and not infatuation?

You see, love feels like peace. It's that feeling that makes you feel at peace when you look at them, knowing that they got you, knowing that even if the world would end at that moment, you would be with someone who holds your heart as if it was the most precious thing they have. Infatuation on the other hand makes you love the feeling of having someone to love, the thrill of the chase, the butterflies. Sometimes we don't love the person we think we are in love with. We tend to like the idea of relationships, we get passionate with them but it fades and you wonder where all the love went. Was it lost between hello and goodbye? Unlike infatuation, love isn't addicting, love is calm. Sometimes we get stuck in certain situations that make us judge our feelings. When you love someone you will be ready to be with them as long as forever may hold. Love never fades. It will get deeper with time until you feel like this person is the one you wanna wake up to every day, you'll want them without any selfish motive, you'll love them selflessly even when they aren't in love with you.
