The seven-member selection panel for the Azimio running mate has concluded the first round of vetting and shortlisted seven candidates.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his Nark Kenya counterpart Martha Karua and Mombasa governor Hassan Joho are among those shortlisted.
Others are Muranga Woman Representative Sabina Chege, Peter Kenneth, Kanu chairman Gideon Moi and Stephen Tarus of National Liberty Party.
In its update on Friday, the selection panel chairperson Noah Wekesa said that they received 20 applications.
"The rest 13 applicants were not considered as they had not been submitted by the constituent political parties of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition," Wekesa said.
