So Sad! Philip Murgor And These Candidates Disqualified From The CJ Position By This Person
bashirjuma@Cr7Apr 19, 2021

The battle for a new CJ to replace the retired David Maraga continues. Temperatures are really high as Kenyans follow up closely the interview process. They want a strong person who will fit well in David Maraga' s shoes. They want a person who will even do better than Maraga, and that' s why they are following every bit if the process to ensure that it is a free and fair process.

Until now, 5 candidates have been interviewed. They were interviewed from Monday last week as follows; Juma Chetambe, Mbote, Justice Martha Koome, Marete and SC Philip Murgor. Although they all produced a splendid performance and they are all hopeful to win the race, things seem different to other people.

That is because legislator Chris Wamalwa has come out to give them a big blow while speaking to Citizen TV. According to the MP, until now, he hasn' t seen any candidate who can take the CJ position. That means that that group of 5 first candidates are unsuitable for the top job according to Chris Wamalwa.

The Kiminini Member of Parliament went on to state that even those interviewers including acting Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu have been average in their performances. It is after that when Wamalwa raised eyebrows by alleging that the majority of the shortlisted candidates come from a certain region meaning that there was bias in the process.

" CJ performance on both candidates & interviewers has been average, I have not yet seen any candidate who can take the CJ position. I have a problem with CJ shortlisted candidates, it looks biased. Majority of those shortlisted come from a certain region. " Said Chris Wamalwa.

There have been speculations that Fred Ngatia is a state project and at the moment, many people are waiting for his turn. Today, Justice Nduma Nderu took the centre stage and hopefully me may convince Chris Wamalwa.
