TRUE HISTORY OF AFRICA
In 2017 a civil war broke out in Cameroon, at the end of the war tens of Cameroonians were dead, hundreds were missing and hundreds more were left with injuries. To any rational person the reason for the war can only fit a comedy script.

Now, this is what happened, during African colonial times Cameroon was devide into two regions, the north and the south, the north was colonised by the British while the south was colonised by the French. The northern colony spoke english while the south spoke french and consequently they assumed different cultures. At the end of colonisation Cameroon became one black nation divided by two foreign languages. The north bragged of being anglophones while the south inturn bragged of how they were the francophones added to the fact that they were the majority in terms of population.

Though both languages became official, there were difference on which between the two languages should be the more official one to be used in courts of law and in school curriculum, and this is what lit the fire.  I think even the Europeans look at us and marvel at how stupid we must be to go this far.

Ok, If only Africans could have something to rally to, something like a common African language, such simple differences cannot occur among us. But all is not lost, Kiswahili has taken off in Africa, even South Africa has included Kiswahili in their curriculum, all we need to do is to guard Kiswahili from being diluted by sheng.

Sooner rather than later we are going to have apure African language, a language that we will all own as Africas. A language that will destroy language barriers across the continent. And this continent will be one nation as per the dreams of our forefathers when the fought the colonial powers. It's incumbent for Africans to start spreading this word amongst us so that as many Africans as possible can get into this worthy course.
